FLIR has announced the launch of the Major Update to United Video Management System Software for Security Professionals.

The Updated Software United VMS 9.0 provides Modernized User Interface, New Health Monitoring tool, and Cybersecurity Enhancements. The FLIR United VMS family is able to manage large amounts of video data from different sources and includes FLIR Latitude Software as well as FLIR Horizon and FLIR Meridian Meridian Network Video Recorders (NVR), which are compatible with the new 64-bit release.

FLIR United VMS is an open platform that allows you to integrate third-party technologies, numerous cameras and edge devices. As a result, users can match, monitor and control any number of devices within a single interface, reducing the cost of ownership and increasing the efficiency. It also supports both FLIR visible and thermal security cameras, including the new A400-EST and A700-EST cameras for elevated skin temperature screening applications.

FLIR United VMS is a flexible solution that allows users to easily scale and customize their security systems to meet their needs. Common applications of systems include critical infrastructure, data centers, utilities, oil & gas, and airports. Modernized User Interface offers new dark-mode, as well as simplified menus and viewing windows for efficient operation. FLIR United VMS 9.0 includes advanced forensic capabilities, for instance, the thumbnail search with digital zoom, the introduction of timeline scrubbing directly in the video pane, smooth playback of events, improved sync playback, reverse playback and etc.

The FLIR Health Monitoring Tool gives detailed information on surveillance system status. Cloud-based monitoring helps determine system health from any location at any time, including information about the server, services, and cameras. The application is built directly into United VMS and allows multiple users to access data.

Cybersecurity Enhancements include improved password policy, unsecured camera blocking policy, secure communications between VMS services and cameras. This advanced approach and other cyber-hardening measures reduce the risk of cyberattacks.
