Network Of practitioners For Emergency medical systems and critical care
NO-FEAR is a 5-year (June 2018 – May 2023) Coordination and Support Action project that will bring together a pan-European and beyond network of emergency medical care practitioners, suppliers, decision and policy makers to collaborate and exchange knowledge, good practices, and lessons learned. Members of the network will have the opportunity to work together and collaborate to develop a common understanding of the innovation potential that fills operational gaps and pinpoint areas for future research. This multi-disciplinary, multi-national, and multi-sectorial collaboration will be supported by virtual tools, including the NO-FEAR platform and networking events (e.g., workshops, demonstrations, exercises) every 6 months.

A copper oxide fabric (Copper Oxide impregnated in Polypropylene nonwoven spunbond) was successfully developed by Israeli scientists for medical wound dressing, and was proven to be safe and effective against virus and bacteria. This scientific achievement, backed by over 30 registered patents, was approved by the FDA in 2018. Leveraging this achievement, a special technology (patented and licensed) of applying copper oxide into a non-woven medical facemask was invented and successfully applied.
ANTIBACTERIAL & ANTIVIRAL
The mask itself is made out of three layers. The outer layer prevents droplets from entering and holds microscopic copper oxide polymers. The middle layer traps small particles that may pass through the outer layer. It also prevents the flow of particles outward. The inner layer is close to the nose and mouth and was designed to absorb moisture.
A tiny amount of copper particles are blended into the mask hence the brownish or salmon-pink color. The copper antiviral properties do not decline over time. So as long as the mask is physically intact, it provides protection without a need for sterilization.
Copper-Inside Mask fully complies with the EU regulations for Medical Mask Class I Type IIR facemask (EN 14683:2019 + AC:2019) providing 99.9% filtration efficiency for viruses and bacteria.
